Description

Very similar to our saltfish except herring is used instead of cod. Smoked herring is salt-cured and smoked to preserve it and are traditionally fried or sauteed everywhere in the Caribbean.

They are one of our most popular seafoods and come in a 10lbs pack. To get rid of the saltiness, simply boil the herring for five to ten minutes in water.
